Yara Greyjoy and Ellaria Sand smooched in the Game of Thrones Season 7 trailer, and we've been shipping "Yallaria" ever since. Tonight’s episode "Stormborn" featured the steamy moment — but did it give us the lesbian power couple we deserve?

Note: Spoilers ahead for Episode 2 of Game of Thrones Season 7.

Many fans thought that the lip lock might be a death omen for Yara — Ellaria is known for killing Myrcella Baratheon with a poisonous kiss. Though we're excited about her getting intimate with Yara, we couldn't help but worry about the latter's safety because, well, it's Game of Thrones. But realistically, there's no reason for Ellaria to target her since they're on equal footing in Daenerys's council.

What Really Went Down With The Two Ladies?

After getting settled in Dragonstone, Team Targaryen debated whether to strike King's Landing right away. They later agreed that the Greyjoys and Sands would take their fleet to Dorne, hoping to gain more soldiers to attack Cersei. On the way there, Yara and Ellaria's chemistry was instant and natural. Their fervent flirtation quickly led to the kiss we were waiting for (which made for an awkward, third-wheeling Theon).

As we expected, the moment between them was wanted and completely genuine, but it didn't last long — Euron Greyjoy's fleet attacked, interrupting what could have been a beautiful romance on the rise.

After Euron's Raid, Will Yallaria's Passion Prevail?

Euron's messy invasion left two Sand Snakes killed, as well as most of Yara's entire fleet. As for her and Ellaria, they were both captured, and will likely be Euron's "gift" for Cersei. With Cersei's ruthless nature in mind, Yara and Ellaria's lives are severely at stake. Both of them have demonstrated immense strength in the past, so at this rate, we can only hope that their blossoming romance will prevail against all odds.

It would be incredible to have an relationship on the show, but unfortunately, Yallaria becoming canon is up in the air. Next week's episode will certainly give us insight on the condition of the two.

Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9pm on HBO.
