As Sergeant Slaughter once said, "Give your hearts to America, Joes!" The popular Hasbro toy line is due for a reboot again, only a few years after its most recent live action incarnation starring Channing Tatum and Dwayne Johnson in 2012.
Here's a reminder of the Joes' mission in G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

Hasbro Toys made mega-bucks with the live action Transformers franchise, so that may be the inspiration behind the latest move to get the plastic soldiers marching back to the big screen.
Hasbro hotshot Simon Waters told LA times that G.I. Joe has another mission ahead of him:
"The world has changed, and I think you’re going to see G.I. Joe changing with it. There’s going to be a much more contemporary approach to the whole franchise, and that will allow us to develop different characters."
Can we infer from this that the new G.I. Joe will be more Hurt Locker than Toy Soldiers? It seems unlikely that a franchise aimed at kids will reflect the harsh realities of modern warfare, although an R-Rated version (think G.I. Joe goes Logan) would be an interesting prospect.
Stay vigilant, Joes, and remember: a Cobra is a snake and "snake" is "sneak" spelled sideways!
Is rebooting 'G.I. Joe' again a good idea?
