If I could go back in time and tell the eleven-year-old version of me that his beloved Goosebumps books would one day be a major studio film...eleven-year-old me would have put down the cereal he was eating while watching the Fox Saturday morning TV version of the book series and called the police to report the weird guy who broke into his house claiming to be a time traveler.

But it's a reality, folks! Sony is adapting 's young adult horror books for the big screen. We already know that (Monsters vs. Aliens) will be directing Goosebumps, and that will star as Stine himself. The story revolves around a young man who moves in next door to Stine and must return all of Stine's creations to the world of the books when they are released.

According to Variety, we now know that young man will be played by (Prisoners). I loved Prisoners, but honestly felt that Minnette was the one weak link in terms of performance. True, he wasn't given a heck of a lot to do, but I was still unimpressed. However, he did a great job in ' Let Me In, so I'll reserve judgment here.

What do you guys think?
