Given the imminent end of the most meth-tastic show on TV - Breaking Bad, AMC is probably trying to hold onto its most tempting TV bait for as long as possible - an explanation for the piece of Mad Men news we've just received...

According to the network (via LA Times), the final season of Mad Men - Season 7 - will be split into two parts, expanding each run as Breaking Bad did before them. Mad Men's series creator and showrunner expressed that:

We plan to take advantage of this chance to have a more elaborate story told in two parts, which can resonate a little bit longer in the minds of our audience. The writers, cast and other artists welcome this unique manner of ending this unique experience.

I can't wait to see what AMC comes up with next to fill the gaps, but by this point, a Mad Men spin-off seems all the more likely. What say you, fans? Are you excited for more Mad Men to carry the series through 2015, or should the final season end on its own terms next spring? Let me know what you think below!
