Space: A big place with a lot of this:

It's not for everyone, and if you go, you want to be qualified for the task, as astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson pointed out.

It's not just Gravity's Dr Ryan Stone () that went into space without the proper experience...

1) David (), Prometheus

Actual job: Butler Android

He poisons Holloway () with horrible alien liquid, creating a freaky alien caesarian. He's a butler, not a space fertility doctor.

2) John Carter (), John Carter

Actual job: American Civil War Confederate Army captain

Although his earthling bone density comes in handy, Carter didn't even ask to be taken to Barsoom. All things considered, he takes it rather well.

3) Wall-E, Wall-E

Actual job: Waste-cleaning droid

Wall-E is not a space exploration unit. That adorably emotive little face should never have seen the black beyond.

4) Everyone involved, Lost in Space

Actual job: Uh, regular people?

What was anyone thinking sending children into space? You send a random family off in a space ship, then you're surprised when they get lost?

5) Harry (), Armageddon

Actual job: Deep Sea Oil Driller

He's not an astronaut, and he's certainly no decision-maker. Who else was screaming at him to shove the crazy guy out of the airlock?

In conclusion, Dr Ryan Stone should have stayed on Earth.
