Quite frankly, we never thought this could happen — Hollywood's golden boy and Mr-Nice-Guy has somehow taken a leaf from Justin Bieber's book in revealing that he refuses to take photographs with his adoring fans.

During an interview for June 2017's issue of Cigar Aficionado with director James Gunn, the superhero spoke about attempting to maintain normality despite his celebrity status and admitted some rather surprisingly truths in the process.

Explaining why he always declines requests to take pics now that he's the movie world's hottest commodity, he said:

"I've always been a pretty deferential, go-with-the-flow guy. But now I have to be economical with my time. If I go out and want to do normal things, I have to be comfortable disappointing people. So I just don't take pictures with people. Because that's not about enjoying the moment; it's about stealing the moment to brag about later. So I say, ‘Would you settle for a handshake?' And then they take the picture anyway."

Well, well, well, what a difference a few years make! Chris also went on to reveal what it was that he misses the most about his public anonymity, saying:

"It’s tough sometimes, the amount of management you need to do on things you used to do spontaneously. What I really miss is sitting down and talking to strangers who don’t know me, so we can discover each other. I’d say the majority of people I meet have an idea about me before they meet me. There’s something nice to being able to surprise somebody."

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theatres on May 5.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how sad are you that you'll never get a picture with Chris Pratt?
