In just a few short weeks the MCU will have a brand new addition in the form of James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The film looks set to equal its original with its clever mix of humor and action, and now it finally has an official rating.

Twitter account, Stitch Kingdom — which has broken other superhero news in the past — has reported that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has received the same rating of the original film, a PG-13 rating. The rating took into account sci-fi action sequences, violence, language and brief suggestive content.

The rating will come as little surprise for fans of the rather family friendly first film. Although films such as Deadpool and Logan have had recent success with R ratings, it was never expected that Guardians might receive a similar rating.
