This article contains spoilers for DC's Legends Of Tomorrow Season 2.
The Spear of Destiny found itself firmly in the grasp of the Legion Of Doom in the closing moments of the most recent installment of Legends Of Tomorrow, "Fellowship Of The Spear." And with villains wielding that kind of power, we shouldn't expect anything good — especially since the penultimate episode of the season is appropriately titled "Doomworld."
The Spear has the power to rewrite reality itself, and it appears that this is exactly what the Legion has accomplished. No longer destined to lose, Eobard Thawne, Malcolm Merlyn, Damien Darhk and Captain Cold are set to live the high life, while they have some of the Legends doing their violent dirty work for them.
Every Villainous Team Needs A Villainous Headquarters
Legends executive producer Marc Guggenheim has taken to Twitter to reveal the iconic location where the Legion are set to operate: the Hall Of Doom.
Many fans will know that the Hall of Doom is the Legion of Doom's base of operations in the comic books. While it has appeared multiple times over the years — including appearances on animated series Super Friends and Batman: The Brave & The Bold — this will mark its first ever live-action #TV appearance.
However, in the comics it's nestled away in a secret location somewhere in Slaughter Swamp. This contrasts with its Legends incarnation, smack-dab in the middle of a city. And judging by the episode's appropriate title, the Legion isn't going to be worried about hiding their location in Doomworld, as it appears that they practically run it.
Despite the continuity differences, the unsettling globe-like design of the structure is very loyal to the source material, and it should certainly please fans of the comics to see the Hall of Doom come to life on screen.

What The Hall Of Doom's Presence Could Mean For 'Legends'
While its sudden presence in Legends Of Tomorrow is more than appropriate given the Legion's rewriting of reality, we have to wonder if this could have a deeper meaning for the show. After all, in the comics, the Hall Of Doom acted as a counterpart to the Justice Society Of America's — and the Justice League's — Hall Of Justice. This is actually incredibly significant, as both the Justice Society Of America and the Hall Of Justice debuted in the #Arrowverse this season.
While we know the JSA made their presence felt on Legends, the world was stunned by the Hall Of Justice's sudden debut on #TheFlash during the CW's four-show "Invasion!" crossover last year. While it was still only referred to as a S.T.A.R. Labs warehouse, the fact that it was present for the biggest team-up of #superheroes in TV history is monumental.
Furthermore, now with the Hall Of Doom debuting in the Arrowverse, we have to wonder if we will see characters from the wider DC continuity — and perhaps even a few more Justice League members — show up in the coming seasons.
The Legion Of Doom's presence on Legends Of Tomorrow has certainly made for an entertaining season. The four villainous cohorts have committed dastardly deeds that would make their comic book counterparts proud. And now, just before they are set to bow out, I couldn't think of a more fitting location for their last stand to take place than the Hall Of Doom.
