Getting punched is never something to brag about, unless, of course, that punch comes from the legendary Harrison Ford. Sure, it hurt, but then again you just got punched by freakin' Indiana Jones, and that's pretty damn cool.
Speaking to GQ, #RyanGosling revealed that on the set of the upcoming Blade Runner 2, he received a knuckle sandwich from the Hollywood icon. Of course, it was by complete accident. The incident happened during a fight scene and Gosling seemed to take it in stride, calling it a "rite of passage":
“We were just doing a fight scene and, you know, it just happened. But what was funny was, when it was over, they brought ice for my face, and Harrison pushed me out of the way and stuck his fist in the ice. I asked him the other day where he got his sense of humor from — was it from his mother or his father? He said, ‘Sears.’ And he didn't have much time to shop around so he just had to grab one and get out.”
#HarrisonFord is known for his wry sense of humor, and the actor continued on with his joke when he passed by Gosling's changing room with a peace offering. Even at the age of 74, Harrison Ford is still up to his old tricks.
"He came by afterward with this bottle of scotch, and I thought, ‘Oh, I knew this was coming.’ And he pulled out a glass from his pocket, poured me a glass, and walked away with the rest of the bottle. So I guess he felt like he didn't connect enough to earn a whole bottle."
Although the film is yet to receive a release date, Blade Runner 2049 is expected to hit cinemas some stage in 2017.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Blade Runner 2049 will be a follow-up to Ridley Scott's 1982 movie #BladeRunner. Although not in the directing seat, #RidleyScott will serve as executive producer, with Harrison Ford returning as Rick Deckard alongside a cast that boasts Ryan Gosling and Oscar winner #JaredLeto.
