A couple of weeks back, it was reported that a member of the Harry Potter cast had seriously hurt themselves in a horrific accident in Los Angeles. Jim Tavare — the face behind the role of The Leaky Cauldron's innkeeper Tom — was left with a broken neck, 15 fractured ribs, fractured breastbones and a punctured lung after his car was in a head-on collision.
The 54-year-old was brought to an intensive care unit, where his wife Laura took to social media to share the devastating news of his tragic accident:
Now though, it appears that things are looking up for Jim, who had to get two blood transfusions and required life-saving surgery. On Monday, he was finally wheeled out of hospital for the first time to enjoy some sunshine and was reunited with his "best friend" Mr. Kippy, who was with him at the time of the collision. Later, the #HarryPotter actor shared his gratitude for all of the support on social media, writing:
"Thanks guys for all the well wishes. You are all so kind. I'm looking forward to getting out of here, but not looking forward to the medical bills."
We're very glad to see you're up and about Jim! Get better soon.
