Harry Styles has been a pretty busy guy. From the release of his debut solo album to appearing on the big screen in Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk, the heartthrob has accomplished a lot this year. But despite his busy schedule, Styles has managed to stay grounded and the humble musician once again warmed our hearts over the weekend during one of his concerts.
While on stage in Stockholm, Sweden, #HarryStyles addressed his audience with a message that hit us right in the feels. The "Kiwi" singer asked the concertgoers to hold hands as a sign of solidarity, before telling them that they should all feel comfortable to be whoever they want to be.
"I'd like you to know — every single one of you in here tonight — if you are black, if you are white, if you are gay, if you are straight, if you are transgender; whoever you are, whoever you want to be, I support you. I love every single one of you, thank you so much for being here"
Styles has always been an avid supporter of #LGBTQ rights and this isn't the first time that the singer has shown his support for the community during his concerts. In September, the 23-year-old kicked off his solo tour and, during the first show, he took a gay pride flag from an audience member and waved it around on stage, before attaching the flag to his microphone stand, where it remained for the rest of the set.
Since then, the "Sing Of The Times" singer has repeated this gesture on every single one of his shows. In fact, during one particular performance, a concertgoer had their pride flag confiscated by staff, but when Styles heard about the incident he brought the flag out on stage and "put it back in its rightful place," attaching it his microphone stand once more.
Say what you will about the former One Direction star, but unlike a lot of other artists out there, Styles hasn't let the fame go to his head. His portrayal in the media might have you believing otherwise, but the young singer appears to be one of the most down to earth musicians around and his continued support for the LGBT community is just another reason to praise him. Good on you, Harry!
