is in talks to replace in 's upcoming Gertrude Bell biopic, Queen of the Desert.
According to Indie Wire, the Spring Breakers star would join (who is set to play the historic writer and archaeologist Bell) and Twilight's (who will take the role of T. E. Lawrence), who have long been attached to the project. Franco would play Bell's lover Henry Cadogan, who she was with until his untimely death.
Franco's attachment would hopefully get the ball rolling on the project, because Herzog is getting on in age and I'd like at least another three movies from him before he packs up shop. In fact, I hope Herzog narrates the movie himself; his voice makes everything seem interesting.
Is this movie something you'd like to see? Or does it sound like a classic a case of 'smart men from the past played by modern day idiots'? Sound off below.
