Black Panther is gearing up to be the most highly anticipated Marvel film of 2018. The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and is headlined by stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Martin Freeman, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker and Andy Serkis. Taking place after Captain America: Civil War, T'Challa returns home as king of Wakanda, but soon finds his rule threatened by a long-time adversary. T’Challa must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman) and members of the Dora Milaje to stop Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) from starting a conflict that could have global consequences.

Ever since San Diego Comic Con, we have been dying to see what suit would don when he battles T'Challa. We now have new images of said suit thanks to the film's tie-in Hasbro merchandise.

So far, we have only seen Erik Killmonger in one outfit. The outfit spotted in the first trailer is very similar to the outfit that he wears in the comics, with the addition of horns. Its look is akin to a tribal leader fused with that of a guerilla soldier. Marvel is always keen on updating the suits from the comics while staying with the same aesthetics, so this first suit is keeping with that tradition. After returning home to Wakanda to take the throne, it looks as if he will be donning a vibranium outfit very similar to T'Challa's.

The Golden Jaguar outfit was first seen during the trailer that premiered at San Diego Comic Con. The suit is very similar to the suit worn by T'Challa during Captain America: Civil War, only with a few subtle changes: the suit has golden highlights as opposed to silver ones, representing the Jaguar, and this mask is fanged and more menacing. The action figure also includes vibranium swords that emanate blue energy. Whether this is an older suit or if Killmonger gets access to the technology to create his own suit remains to be seen.

Black Panther is due to hit theaters on February 16, 2018.
