Hayden Panettiere candidly discussed her battles with postpartum depression back in 2015, following the birth of her beautiful little girl Kaya with fiancé Wladimir Klitschko. Back then — after seeking in-patient treatment for the disorder — she shared her experiences with the media, and in turn showed solidarity with millions of women battling with the postnatal condition each year.
Then — in 2016 — the #Nashville actress revealed she was struggling again but come 2017, Hayden is now talking about her fresh perspective on the situation. Appearing on Good Morning America, Panettiere admitted what it was like to realize you have postnatal depression. She said:
"You feel off. You don't feel like yourself."
She then credited her show, and her Nashville storyline, in helping her battle through. Referring to her character, she said:
"[It helped me] identify what was going on, and to let women know that it’s okay to ask for help, and that it’s okay to have a moment of weakness. It makes you a very strong, resilient woman. You just gotta let it make you stronger.”
