He promised us that he'd be back and it looks like is a man of his word. At a recent press junket for his latest action romp The Last Stand, Bleeding Cool are reporting that the man formerly known as the Governator will be getting out his clothes, his boots and his motorcycle and returning for Terminator Genisys.

There's not a great deal known about the fifth installment of the time travelling, cyborg-smashing franchise other than it will be produced by Annapurna Pictures and that was originally on board to direct. He has since dropped out to focus on Fast & Furious 6.

So what would a Terminator 5 look like? If it picks up where Terminator Salvation left off, it could focus on the continuing war between the Skynet Cyborgs and the human survivors with Arnie reprising his role as a T-800 Terminator. This would probably require a fair bit of CGI work to de-age him and make his appearance the same as when he first tried to shoot people, back in 1984.

On the other hand, Terminator 5 could follow a brand new storyline that involves Arnie going back in time again to prevent Judgement Day. Basically, all options are still on the Cyberdyne table.

On top of his return to the Terminator franchise, Schwarzenegger is continuing to keep it old school by first getting out his sword and sandals for The Legend of Conan, before teaming up with again for Triplets.

With no director or writer attached to Terminator 5, it could be a while until we see any progress on the project. In the meantime [[follow]] the movie to get the updates when they hit.
