Marvel Studios' big giant head, , gave some tasty teasers at the D23 expo as to what we can expect from future Marvel movies. To begin with, a whole lot of vagueness:

Next spring is when we really sit down and start to decide what we announce for 2016 and 2017. There are three or four slots. We’ve got six or seven things going. We’ve got to choose which four will go. It’s a Battle Royale!

I wish they would actually make a Battle Royale/Marvel crossover where the entire Marvelverse fight to the death in a comic book Hunger Games arena. That would be awesome. Meanwhile, back in reality, Feige has confirmed that Marvel seaman, Namor the Sub-Mariner is presently owned by Universal, so we won't see the mutant merman any time soon. I guess the only merman action we get is a few glorious seconds in The Cabin in the Woods.

Feige also confirmed that Avengers: Age of Ultron will not feature Ant-Man or Wasp, but promised that the popular renderings of Hulk () and Hawkeye () would have a more 'significant role':

I think we have something special with our Mark Ruffalo Banner, and we’d love to see where we could take his stories.

Joss [Whedon] has a great storyline in mind for [Hawkeye] that shows a deeper side and further fleshes out our favorite archer.

So, there'll be no more Namor until Universal decide to dust off their deed to the character, but Marvel fans can look forward to more Hulk and Hawkeye. How do you feel about this mixed bag for Marvel U.? Do you smell what Feige is cooking?
