Saddle up folks. AMC has confirmed that they've renewed their western series Hell on Wheels for an expanded fourth season. Since moving the show to the Saturday evening slot, a time the network normally dedicates to all things Wild West, the ratings have had a boost, garnering an average audience of 3.3 million viewers.

AMC President, Charlie Collier, is delighted by with the audience response

AMC has served passionate Western fans for three decades, so it is particularly gratifying to see these viewers capping off their Saturdays with an original Western on what has historically been a tough night of the week for television. Our commitment to the genre is unwavering and we look forward to continuing to super-serve this audience with an expanded fourth season of Hell on Wheels.

Season 4, which returns next summer, will expand to 13 episodes. Yeehaw!

Are you excited to see more Hell on Wheels?
