Justice League officially hits theaters in November, but so far, they have only announced the casting for 6 out of the 7 official Justice League members. #Batman, #Superman, #Cyborg, #Flash, #WonderWoman, and #Aquaman have all been confirmed for the film, but Warner Bros. has been tight-lipped about a possible appearance of a #GreenLantern in the film.

Way back in 2015, director Zack Snyder teased #JusticeLeague with a picture of Aquaman emblazoned with the phrase, “Unite the Seven.” But since then we've been led to believe he was the final Leaguer who would be joining the team in their first big-screen adventure and we wouldn't see an appearance an emerald ring-slinger until later in the franchise. Or are we? If Henry Cavill’s constant Instagram posts are any indication, we might be seeing a member of the Green Lantern Corps. sooner rather than later in the #DCEU.
Henry Cavill Teases Green Lantern Again
Henry Cavill's latest post, is updating his fans about his rehabilitation and recovery from a significant knee injury he sustained back in December 2016. He talks about regaining his strength and steadily increasing his work load. He doesn’t say anything of note (as it pertains to the DCEU) until the end of the post, when he drops another reference to Green Lantern. The entire caption is as follows:
Since I came off the ol knee injury I've been steadily increasing my training work load. I know it's irritating when people say this but it genuinely does feel so good to be back in it. I'm not destroying myself every day. Just working towards improvement by pushing hard enough to elicit change. Nothing funny to post here, it's deadly serious because I've got to make sure that I'm bigger than Green Lantern....Wait whaaat?

Cavill saying he needs to be "bigger" than #GreenLantern could mean any number of things. However, Cavill has been constantly teasing the appearance of Green Lantern in the DCEU for months now. Cavill recently posted 2 separate pictures on Instagram, and each one referred to Green Lantern – even if one was just a snapshot of his dog looking out a window.
If he only referenced Green Lantern once it might be a goof (or Cavill could totally be trolling his fans), but at this point, it seems like he's teasing something more.
Is Armie Hammer Playing Green Lantern?
There have been rumors flying for some time now that Armie Hammer has already been cast as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern in the DCEU. Hammer even went as far as trolling his fans on Twitter – while maybe in bad taste, it was pretty funny. But so far, Warner Bros. has not commented on the rumor, and Armie Hammer recently denied the rumors that he had been cast in the role – although he wasn’t very convincing. Recently at SXSW, Hammer side-stepped a question about him playing Green Lantern, but he neither confirmed nor denied his involvement.
Could Green Lantern Appear In Justice League?
There have been heavy rumors suggesting that a Green Lantern will appear in Justice League, but they do not specify which Green Lantern. If I were a betting man, I would put my money on Hal Jordan first, and then he would pave the way for the introduction of John Stewart, Guy Gardner, Kyle Rayner, and the rest of the intergalactic police force. As of right now, we have no idea if a Green Lantern will appear in Justice League, but it seems more likely with each tease.
Henry Cavill has proven to be the DCEU’s one-man hype machine, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
You can catch Justice League in theaters on November 17, 2017.
