It takes a special kind of franchise to make it to five films, but led by one of the most quintessential female characters of modern movies, the Underworld franchise has cruised to its fifth installment with #sonypictures' action-packed Underworld: Blood Wars.
Continuing the story of leather-clad Death Dealer Vampire Selene, Blood Wars followed the conclusion of Underworld: Awakening, with the Vampires seemingly on the point of total annihilation at the paws of the Lycans, and both parties searching for Selene in order to get a hold of her daughter Eve, the first purebred hybrid.
Kate Beckinsale has once again reprised the role of Selene for this intense latest addition to the series, but Blood Wars is brimming with a whole host of other familiar faces. Take a look below to acquaint yourself with the cast and characters of Underworld: Blood Wars.
Kate Beckinsale — Selene
Where you've seen her: Much Ado About Nothing, The Last Days of Disco, Pearl Harbor, The Aviator, Van Helsing, Total Recall and Contraband.
Since making her film debut in the early '90s, Beckinsale has become one of the most recognizable faces of Hollywood. Recently she was awarded a London Critics Circle Film Award for her role in the period romance drama Love & Friendship.
Theo James — David
Where you've seen him: Bedlam, The Inbetweeners Movie, Golden Boy, The Benefactor, War on Everyone and The Divergent Series franchise.
After building a career in movies and TV series in his native England, James made the leap to international stardom as the character Four in The Divergent Series, in which he starred alongside the white-hot Shailene Woodley. Following his portrayal of David in Blood Wars, we'll next see James in the upcoming mystery thriller London Fields with Billy Bob Thornton and Amber Heard.
Tobias Menzies — Marius
Where you've seen him: The Low Down, Casino Royale, Rome, Atonement, The Deep, Black Mirror, The Night Manager, Game of Thrones, Outlander, Catastrophe.
English star of the stage and screen Menzies should be instantly recognizable for his roles as Edmure Tully on Game of Thrones, Brutus on Rome, and "Black Jack" Randall on Outlander. Following on from his role as Lycan leader Marius in Blood Wars, look out for Menzies next on TV series The Terror.

Much like her character Semira, Pulver is an ambitious career woman, having won the 2016 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical for her West End stage performance in Gypsy.
Charles Dance — Thomas
Where you've seen him: Alien 3, Gosford Park, Bleak House, Game of Thrones, The Imitation Game, Dracula Untold, The Great Fire, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Me Before You and Ghostbusters.
Longtime actor Dance will perhaps best be known for his role as patriarch Tywin Lannister on Game of Thrones. Across the span of his four-decade career, Dance has portrayed a wide variety of characters, with vampire elder Thomas from Underworld: Blood Wars just another feather in his cap.
James Faulkner — Cassius
Where you've seen him: Covington Cross, Bloodlines: Legacy of a Lord, The Piano Player, I Capture the Castle, Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London, Downton Abbey, Atomic Blonde, Game of Thrones and the Bridget Jones series.
Starting out his career in the arts as a chorister, Faulkner soon made his way into several of our favorite TV series and movies, including the Bridget Jones franchise and Game of Thrones.
Peter Andersson — Vidar
Where you've seen him: Gossip, The Grave, Millennium, The Last Sentence, Ego, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit and Black Widows.
Swedish actor Andersson achieved worldwide fame when he appeared as Nils Bjurman in his country's native adaptation of Stieg Larsson's ultra-popular Millennium series that included The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Clementine Nicholson — Lena
With Underworld: Blood Wars her first film credit, Nicholson scored the role of Lena, the great warrior of the Nordic Coven and daughter of Vidar.
Daisy Head — Alexia
Where you've seen her: Feather Boy, Patrick's Planet, Doc Martin, The Last Seven, The Proxy, Heart of Lightness, The Syndicate, Guilt and Fallen.
A relative newcomer, British actress Head took on the role of neophyte Death Dealer Alexia in Blood Wars after appearing on a number of TV series.
