, also known as The Vampire Diaries heartthrob Damon Salvatore, has recently revealed his inability to defend himself against red-blooded female fans.
In an interview with Live with Kelly and Michael, Somerhalder recounted a time when he was pinned against the wall in the men's bathroom at the 2013 Comic Con by a female fan dressed as Wonder Woman. Ian recalled:
and I were walking to the little boys' room. Paul was over in an alcove, so when I went to leave, there was like this 6-foot Wonder Woman there and she was beautiful and had this great energy about her. She literally grabbed me by the throat, slammed me against the wall, and held me there and just said, 'I love you. I love. I love you'.
Sounds like Somerhalder found the whole incident quite thrilling if you ask me, although the Wonderbabe was compelled to release him from her grasp after he politely explained that he 'didn't want to have to call the security guys'.
Quite frankly, Somerhalder has had a rather tumultuous time of it recently after also finding himself as the object of a racist incident. He recently took to social networking site Twitter to bemoan the general racism and lack of tolerance he encountered while traveling to Atlanta on Saturday, October 19; where he is filming season 5 of The Vampire Diaries.
Apparently the incident occurred between two American airline employees, with the shocked star commenting:
Somerhalder went on to encourage his 4 million followers to not tolerate such behavior, adding:
I'm not saying it to say 'poor me poor me' NOPE- I'm just saying I hope this next generation-YOU, stops judging&starts loving.
Well I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who are more than willing to 'start loving' the sexy Somerhalder! What do you say, next generation?
