If you're like me, you almost lost it when iconic horror queen was killed off roughly half a nanosecond in to Halloween: Resurrection. The only protagonist to ever not only survive through an entire horror franchise, but also equal to her nemesis? And you take her out like that?
What. What? WHAT?!
But good news, horror fans: Deadline is reporting that ABC Family has a deal in place for a spec script involving a high-concept horror drama starring our beloved Laurie Strode. The project is apparently being fast-tracked, and already has a director and executive producer attached in the form of .
Titled 'The Final Girls', the drama revolves around a group of girls who have, in essence, survived their own personal horror stories and are brought together by a mysterious older woman (Curtis) to channel the stress and scars of their experience for some greater good.
Considering Jamie Lee Curtis has been the "final girl" throughout the Halloween franchise, the title of the show is fitting. Her acting as a matron who teaches girls how to kick ass and take names? Count. me. in.
If and when this pilot gets the green light to a full series, we'll let you know. So stay tuned.
