Now, while many of us may have adopted an all-encompassing fear of snakes in honor of ' deep-seated terror of the slithering bastards, there's another, more immediate concern that's likely to be bothering the most devoted of Indy fans out there. After all, with a fifth installment in the franchise on the way, a whole lot of us are wondering whether the new film will be more like the widely despised fourth movie, , or the widely beloved original trilogy.

And, from the sounds of it, we're going to be wondering that for a while yet — though we can now pin our anxieties (and mildly contradictory over-excitement) to a specific date, since:

What's more, it's actually not too far away. According to a recent press release from , the franchise's rights-holder since the company's purchase of , Indiana Jones 5 will be hitting theaters on July 19, 2019, with once again in the lead role. , too, will be back in the director's chair, with Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall producing. Which, of course, is all decidedly good news — even if it doesn't necessarily protect us from any nuking of fridges or inexplicably alien MacGuffins.
