The Boondock Saints writer/director has made a deal with Sony Television to bring pirate adventure Kingdom Come to the small screen. The series focuses on 19th century pirate Capt. Jean Lafitte, who "built the largest smuggling operation on U.S. soil and controlled New Orleans and all the goods that traveled the Mississippi River"

However, Lafitte was destined for more than a life of piracy and after he and his crew helped defend New Orleans against the British in the war of 1812, Lafitte and his band of misfits were given full pardons for their past transgressions.

It's been a while since we've seen Duffy do anything of note so perhaps Kingdom Come is the chance he needs to prove that he's more than just a one-hit wonder.

Who would you like to see cast as Lafitte? Drop your suggestions in the comment section below.
