When The Avengers made box office history by making $1 billion worldwide in 19 days, it was the culmination of five other successful films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It became clear that Disney would roll out Phase 2 and plan Phase 3 of their properties as soon as possible.

As such, is obviously set to reprise his role as Tony Stark when Iron Man 3 is released in May, Thor: The Dark World is already in post-production, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier just started shooting. Additionally, Guardians of the Galaxy is in pre-production and The Avengers: Age Of Ultron is getting scripted as we speak.

For people who grew up on these comics, it's truly a dream. However, the MCU is a giant universe with a lot of players. It's what makes it so much fun, even if it's a bit intimidating at times.
