2013 is shaping up to be a more-than-decent year for horror fans. We've already had 's gory remake of Evil Dead and the -backed Mama and we have 's re-imagining of Carrie and grisly true story The Conjuring to look forward to later in the year. Another fright flick that's generating some serious buzz is 's demonic-possession sequel Insidious: Chapter 2 which is due to land in theaters September 13th.

Here's the synopsis:

The haunted Lambert family seeks to uncover the mysterious childhood secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world.

It's not a lot to go on, but what we do know is that has been cast as a younger version of Elise Rainer and Jocelin Donahue has been added to the cast as a younger version of Lorraine Lambert. Insidious: Chapter 2 producer Jason Blum has also admitted that a lot of the mythology from the first movie is going to be explored, suggesting that the sequel will involve a lot of flashbacks to Josh's childhood and his first encounter with the demon. Bring it on!

The Insidious 2 trailer is due to land next week so we should get some spooky spoilers soon. In the meantime, check out the Insidious trailer and spine-tingling ending from the first movie and relive some of the horror again.
