In case you were worried that 2015 was going to be relatively sedate and boring year for movie releases (please feel free to add your own sarcastic tone), Focus Features has announced that Insidious: Chapter 3 will also be dropping that year.
The third installment of the mega-successful horror franchise is slated for release on April 3, 2015 and will once again be written by . And while it's almost certain that he'll reprise his role as 'Specs,' the involvement of director is more uncertain. He's currently working on Furious 7 and while it's yet to be confirmed whether or not he'll sit in the directors chair for a third time, he's gone on record to say that he's "finished with the horror genre."
Whoever ends up behind the camera, there's a high chance that Insidious 3 will make stacks of cash. The first movie made respectable bank, bringing in just under $100 million, while Chapter 2 grossed a massive $149 million worldwide.
Demonic possession is clearly big business.
