Josh Brolin is one of the busiest actors in superhero cinema. Not only is he starring as the villainous Thanos in next year's Avengers: Infinity War, he's also playing fan favorite mutant Cable in Deadpool 2, which is currently filming. Ever since the first images of as were released, the internet has not been able to contain its excitement.

Cable has always been the polar opposite of Deadpool. While everything Wade Wilson says and does is basically a joke, Cable is the personification of seriousness. And all of that intensity just so happens to captured in a new image released by Brolin on Instagram. Check it out below:

Holy crap! This looks like it's from a 1980s action flick with hardcore violence. But knowing that it's from Deadpool 2 makes it so much cooler — because we know these two characters are set to be a perfect "yin and yang." In the comics, this usually results in amazing comedic moments, and we can expect nothing less on the big screen.

However, we can also expect their tension to thicken the plot of the story. The two will inevitably have to somehow come together to save the day ... but until then, we'll definitely be enjoying the hilarity.

Cable is set to be one of the most badass characters to ever hit a Marvel Comics movie. If his relationship with Deadpool is anything like it is in the comics, then Deadpool 2 has the potential to be even funnier (and bloodier) than the first one.

Deadpool 2 hits theaters June 1, 2018.
