There is no doubt that Netflix's Iron Fist is the most divisive and polarizing installment to hit the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Critics have bashed the show for its lead (Finn Jones), slow pacing and uneventful first episodes, while the majority of fans are defending the defender. Some fans agree with the critics while others have raved about the show's character dynamics and martial arts.

Either way, it is too bad that the #MCU has been hit with its first critical misstep. The controversy, whether justified or not, will unfortunately haunt the franchise. Still, Iron Fist has some enjoyable moments: the action improves in the last few episodes, everyone agrees that Colleen Wing is an absolute standout ... and the show has some fun Easter eggs, including a nod to one of the landmark films in the superhero genre. If you're a fan of Marvel's other Netflix offerings, it won't hurt to give Iron Fist a try.
New York's Favorite Pizza Place: A Shared Universe?
In Episode 11 of Iron Fist, titled "Lead Horse Back to Stable," Danny's best friend from K'un-Lun, Davos, comes to New York to find that it is way different than the fantastical city in which he grew up. They hide out with Claire Temple, who has crossed paths with the majority of the heroes of Hell's Kitchen. To welcome them she orders pizza — but not just from any pizza place; she orders from Joe's Pizza, associated with a very iconic superhero sequence from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2:
Last time that audiences encountered the pizzeria, Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) was busy keeping up with its 29-minute guarantee, sweeping through New York City to meet his delivery deadlines.
(Interestingly as Den Of Geek points out, the location of the pizzeria would be way out of range due to the fact that Claire lives on W 147th, which is an hour away in reality — unless Peter Parker was the delivery man. Though obviously not the case, it's fun to think about the possibilities.)
Perhaps we'll see Tom Holland's Spider-Man heading back into the pizza business for Joe's in Spider-Man: Homecoming? As long as the MCU doesn't start getting its pizza from Pizza Yurt, I'm sure the popular joint will make an appearance once again.
