Although there has been lot of buzz around Superman's return in Man of Steel, some of this seems to concern potential cameos more than anything about the actual film. There is still a lot of speculation about a Batman appearance, and today we've got some news of another fairly unbelievable cameo — the late Christopher Reeve.
Of course, Reeve famously played Superman in four movies during the 1970s and 80s, establishing himself as the bona fide Superman actor. Reeve died in 2004, but that may not have prevented him (well, someone looking like him) popping up in 's Man of Steel. To be honest, the evidence isn't exactly groundbreaking, but it's something.
A Spanish Superman fansite has uncovered a set video which shows a man dressed like Reeve's Clark Kent strolling down the sidewalk while filming. He certainly seems to stand out, especially in his fairly period dress. Check him out below:
Could that really be someone dressed as a Christopher Reeve era Clark Kent? His speccy alter ego certainly became one of the hallmarks of the Superman movies, so including it within Man of Steel isn't outside the realms of possibility. Furthermore, the comparison is rather uncanny. Have a look below at this photo of Reeve beside a blown up picture of the mystery man on set:
Hmmm. I'm still not sure. Do you think this is a loving nod to one of the greatest actors to take on the bespectacled alter-ego of Clark Kent?
