If you liked Ghostbusters – and really, has anyone ever disliked Ghostbusters? – then 's adaptation of his graphic novel might be just your cup of tea.
Hellbenders' synopsis sounds like all the fun in the universe multiplied by ten:
The film follows the exploits of the Brooklyn-based Augustine Interfaith Order of Hellbound Saints, known as Hellbenders, a team of lewd and blasphemous ministers who live in a constant state of debauchery in order to be damnation-ready so they can drag the worst of demons back to Hell. When one of the foulest demons possess one of their own and threatens the existence of both Brooklyn and the world, the Hellbenders' faith is tested.
The poster, however, is a little bit meh. Where's the demons? Possessions? Gore? Zaniness? Instead you get the gang looking...well, weirdly smug and complacent. Check it:
Don't let it put you off, though. The trailer's still the best thing since sliced bread:
