IT has finally arrived in theaters on Thursday, and horror fans are in for a terrifying treat, thanks to Pennywise the Clown (Bill Skarsgård), who owned the role originated by Tim Curry.

On Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, Skarsgård discussed what it was like to play such a terrifying character on set. At the same time, he answered a question that certainly had me scratching my head for a while: "How did Skarsgård not scar these child actors for life?"

You watch see this "IT-erseting" interview in the video below:

is currently killing it with both the critics and the fans. The film currently has 89 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and had a record-shattering preview night. The film will cover the first half of Stephen King's terrifying and critically-acclaimed story, following the children of the Losers Club in the year 1989. Part 2 will pick up 30 years later (which hints at a 2019 release date) and will follow the adults who are still being haunted by Pennywise's uncanny presence.

Check out Bill Skarsgård, along with Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Jaeden Lieberher, Wyatt Oleff, Jack Dylan Grazer and Jeremy Ray Taylor, now in theaters.
