The world is on the brink of all-out war and the fate of humanity rests in the hands of and . This is the high-concept idea behind HBO's newest comedy The Brink, which sees Black play Alex Coppins, a lowly Foreign Service office caught in the middle of a geopolitical crises. Robbins stars as US Secretary of State Walter Hollander, a man whose big appetite is matched only by his disdain for the war mongers in the Situation Room.

HBO has commission a pilot of the comedy, which has been penned by Weeds scribes Roberto and Kim Benabib and will be directed by (Meet the Parents).

I'm a big fan of both Black and Robbins and taking into account the talent of the cast and crew, this should be a comedy worth getting excited about.
