In the infamous words of the inimitable Tommy Wiseau: "Hi, babe. I have something for you." Nope, it's not a dozen red roses from that florist with a dog, it's the first trailer for James Franco's The Room inspired passion project, The Disaster Artist.

Based on a book by the real-life "oh hi, Mark" actor Greg Sestero, takes us on a deeply meta journey through the shambles that erupted when a film crew attempted to bring Wiseau's eccentric vision to life.

If you have a passion for lore, such as how the hilarious rooftop scene took 32 attempts to 'perfect,' then this is the movie that will finally make you feel like you're sitting on an atomic bomb waiting for it to go off:

Franco channels the bat-shit crazy intonation that makes Wiseau's delivery so unique (read; hilarious) with such perfection it's unnerving. Not to mention, a little bit disconcerting how hot he looks in that tousled Farrah Fawcett meets Elivira wig.

While the initial trailer focuses on the hilarious buffoonery of Wiseau, the production also promises to be a touching deep-dive into the motivations that led the enigmatic director-come-actor to stop at nothing to achieve his dreams.

Personally, I think it's going to be amazing. Anyway, how is your sex life?

James Franco in that wig: Would you?
