Sometimes exiting a massively popular television series can spell career disaster for an actor. However, since departing Mad Men last year, ' stock has been steadily on the rise. Aided by his appearance as Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Harris turned up in 's Lincoln and has just snagged himself leading roles in two high-profile projects.

First, THR reports that he'll reunite with Game of Shadows director for The Man From U.N.C.L.E. in an unspecified role; Ritchie having taken over the project from the departing . In addition, according to Deadline, Harris just landed a spot in MGM/Fox's upcoming Poltergeist remake. Apparently he'll be playing a TV personality named Carrigan who hosts a supernatural series called Haunted House Cleaners. To me, it sounds like he'll actually be playing the type character from the original.

I really like Jared Harris as a performer and I can't wait to see him in Poltergeist especially.
