Ryan Turek of STYD is reporting on Twitter that the producers of the new Friday the 13th are interested in a found footage aesthetic. Take a look:

Now, Bloody Disgusting is also getting on the bandwagon, but saying that the found footage approach is only a conversation right now, meaning that it could happen or not at all.

I personally understand the appeal for the studio and . It's cheap, quick, and easy to turn out a movie, especially a slasher if you use this approach. And quite frankly, considering Jason has taken Manhattan and gone into space, a found footage approach isn't the craziest idea in the world.

However, I'd like to point out that we shouldn't forget that Michael Myers did this first with Halloween: Resurrection. We all know how that turned out:
