This article contains spoilers from The Walking Dead Season 7.
So far, #TheWalkingDeadSeason7 has largely focused on the survivors' struggle under the tyrannical reign of horrifying newcomer Negan. The villainous character murdered both Glenn and Abraham in a heinous fashion and since then he has terrorized Daryl, taken all of the Alexandrians' belongings and killed Olivia and Spencer.
Since the show's return in February Rick and the gang have been secretly building an army in preparation for going to war against Negan. So far, the Alexandrians' have secured support from the Hilltop and a new group of surviors known as The Heapsters, but the Kingdom have yet to join in on the action.
Last week's episode moved the action back to the Saviors' sanctuary where we saw Negan terrorize Eugene before 'converting' him into a Savior — something that left the internet in shock. Whether or not Eugene is merely playing the treacherous villain has yet to be revealed. Tonight's episode focused on our protagonist, Rick, as he and Michonne set out to look for some weapons and ammunition. Before we look ahead to next week's episode, let's take a look at the most unforgettable moments from "Say Yes."
1. Rosita Encounters The Most Gruesome Walker Yet
Despite Tara promising her that they would accomplish defeating Negan, Rosita was persistent that she could not wait to take action and must do something now. Rick and Michonne were hunting for weapons and Rosita decided that she would also take part — only she would do so on her own. While exploring the surrounding areas, looking for anything that would be remotely useful in the war against Negan, she encountered a walker.
However, it wasn't any old walker, it was one of the most horrifying walkers that we've ever seen on the show. In fact, it was so horrifying that it could give the well walker from Hershel's farm and Winslow the metallic warrior walker a run for their money. Props to the make-up department though — these zombies getting more grotesque every season. Yikes.
2. Rick And Michonne Reordering Things Together
In a hilarious moment, Rick and Michonne scout the nearby carnival and fall through the ceiling of the building they are standing on. While inside this new location, the pair found a pile of food and had so many romantic moments that our hearts were just about busting with warmth. It wasn't not long before the pair begin discussing what they would get up to once they teamed up with Jadis and her team to take out Negan once and for all.
Michonne told Rick that he would be the perfect leader to unite all of the nearby communities — in a way, he would be filling Negan's role as leader, but in a much better and friendly fashion. However, Rick disagreed with her suggestion, telling her that he doesn't want to be the sole leader. Instead, he wants both of them to reorder things together. Aww, Rick and Michonne are becoming my favorite couple.

3. Rick And Michonne Attempt To Infiltrate Enemy Lines
The following morning, Rick and Michonne made a plan to infiltrate the walker infested field — these walkers were soldiers and were carrying many weapons, something the pair desperately need to defeat Negan. The lovers continued their playful conversation, with Michonne agreeing to take out eight walkers while Rick would use the nearby vehicle to get them over that line.
However, Rick found himself in a bit of a pickle when there was a walker stuck in the window of the car. As he pulled the zombie out of the window, the decaying soldier's insides fell apart. Finally Rick made is into the car, as did Michonne, but a nearby walker soldier had become trapped in the fence and as a result his gun started firing, attracting many more of the dead; Michonne and Rick soon found themselves trapped in the car. "It was a good plan" they decided. Clearly not good enough.
4. Rick Falls From The Ferris Wheel And... Dies?
#TheWalkingDead has done some pretty jaw-dropping stuff in the past, but it's been a while since Rick Grimes has found himself in such immediate danger as in tonight's episode. While out on the hunt for weaponry of any kind, Rick and Michonne stumbled upon a creepy old carnival that gave us flashbacks to American Horror Story: Freak Show.
The unfortunate thing was that while the carnival was abandoned, it was overrun with a large group of walkers. Rick climbed to the top of the nearby Ferris wheel after noticing something — he noticed the deer the machine was chasing earlier in the episode, but the walkers were approaching the poor animal. The Ferris wheel collapsed and Rick fell right into the walker's line of fire. As they approached, Michonne ran to her man and was devastated when she spotted Rick apparently being eaten alive. It can't be?!
Our hearts literally stopped as Michonne dropped her sword, forlorn and ready to give up. However, Rick had clearly been taking lessons on avoiding death from Glenn and managed to hide under some of the nearby rubble. He emerged and thew Michonne her sword and the pair continued to take out all of the walkers until there were none left. Michonne went running into Rick's arms, Notebook-style.
Wow, I haven't felt that emotional in a long time. It's pretty cool that seven seasons in, The Walking Dead can still get our adrenaline pumping and praying that no harm will come to Rick. It was certainly a heart-stopping moment, that's for sure!
5. Rosita And Sasha Are Going To Take Out Negan Together
Rosita got fed up of delaying the inevitable and instead of waiting for Rick to get Jadis more weaponry — apparently the 63 guns that Michonne and Rick discovered during the episode aren't enough for her and her warriors — Rosita trekked over to the Hilltop to have a face-to-face with one of her least favorite people: Sasha.
Together, the pair agreed that they were sick of waiting and that now is the time to take action. They planned to infiltrate the Saviors' compound and kill Negan, acknowledging that it's a suicide mission and that they won't be coming back alive. Oh dear, this can't end well for the pair.
Whether you love or hate the show's unusual format of focusing on one settlement per episode, there's no denying that the writers are doing a great job at building up the tension, and as we move closer to the season finale, things are only set to get worse for Rick and the gang before they improve. Let's just hope their efforts don't result in more deaths because there is only so much heartbreak that we can take.
