is an open-minded guy, and it appears this is most prominently the case when it comes to his soundtracks. Lady Gaga, Prince, and some other A-list artists have been rumored to have offerings for Luhrmann's upcoming, The Great Gatsby, but that's nothing compared to the news that has apparently been hard at work scoring the soundtrack for the adaptation of the great classic.

Jay-Z. Seriously.

Via The Film Stage, we've been internet informed that producer/songwriter/producer Jeymes Samuel dropped the news via Twitter, saying," Jay-Z and myself have been working tirelessly on the score for the upcoming The Great Gatsby! It is too DOPE for words!"

Starring , , , and much more, the film is due out May 10, 2013. We're excited for Luhrmann's unique take on the film, and this is definitely another layer to his awesome quirkiness.
