Warning: Spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 7 finale below. Proceed with caution.

Not only was the Sunday night finale of The Walking Dead Season 7 action-packed, but it also contained one of the most powerful and meaningful deaths of the entire series when Sasha Williams committed suicide to turn her body into a weapon.

Knowing she was in an impossible situation, Sasha decided to give her friends one last chance and allowed herself to turn in the hopes of biting Negan. Although Sasha's efforts failed she did scare the Big Bad half to death, pushing him off the flatbed truck and allowing our survivors an opportunity to fight back.

But while this might be grounds for a long standing grudge between Sasha and Negan, thankfully things are far more friendly behind the scenes, and following the finale airing, actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan posted a heartfelt farewell to castmate Sonequa Martin-Green:

In addition to his sweet tweet, which made reference to Martin-Green's upcoming role in Star Trek: Discovery, Morgan gushed about his costar The Talking Dead:

"I was completely flattered! There's not a more beautiful walker that ever walked. She was so great. She just knocked it out of the park. Knowing what was happening, being in that cell in particular, and the dialogue that we had, it was just a thrill for me."

And he's not lying, just take a closer look at this lovely Sasha-walker:
