Kick-ass superbabe spoke with IGN on her tour for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, but she was still willing to talk about other projects, namely X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Her upcoming Marvel superhero sequel sees Lawrence don the blue body paint again to reprise her role as Mystique. Lawrence talks about Mystique's character development in the video below.
When we find Raven, she's split off from Erik and Charles and she's kind of her own agent. She's on a mission, to assassinate somebody, and it'll be her first kill...We've seen her in the future, and what she becomes, and this is kind of a turning point for her.
Having the action for Days of Future Past is a great device for expanding on the individual histories of the X-Men crew. Mystique has always been an interesting character - partly for her heartfelt commitment to the mutant cause - and it's cool that Jennifer Lawrence is so invested in the role. What would you like to see happen with Mystique?
X-Men: Days of Future Past is released May 23, 2014.
