In case you didn't know — and you can't resist a celeb beef — there's an actual, real video on the internet in which legendary Halloween director John Carpenter calls Rob Zombie a "piece of shit." The word "literally" is rarely used in its traditional context, but you can literally hear the words said at 03:01.
This isn't one of those times where we can wring our hands and talk about context, either, because the rest of the Zombie segment is also fairly damning. John Carpenter lets rip from around 02:15:
“He lied about me. He said I was very cold to him when he told me he was going to make it. Nothing could be further from the truth. I said, ‘Make it your own movie, man. This is yours now. Don’t worry about me.’ I was incredibly supportive. Why that piece of shit lied, I don’t know.”
OUCH. Sadly, this unpleasant interaction tainted Carpenter's view of Rob Zombie's Halloween adaptation, adding:
“I thought he took away the mystique of the story by explaining too much about [Michael Myers]. I don’t care about that. He’s supposed to be a force of nature, he’s supposed to be almost supernatural, and he was too big, it wasn’t normal.”

Whatever your opinions about their respective Halloween movies, it's pretty cool to hear a celeb talk about their feelings openly, without resorting to bullying. Say what you really feel, Mr. Carpenter!
