Johnny Depp Biography

Rebel Without a Pause

Johnny Depp's biography kicks off from the point he came to L.A from a small town in Kentucky at the tender age of 17 and broke through quickly with his first role in the seminal horror Nightmare on Elm Street. He quickly became a young hot shot and in the '90s, his closest friends were Hunter S.Thompson, Marlon Brando and a legion of famous rockstars. Depp was a force to be reckoned with as he rejected the handsome leading man image by being open about his unconventional life style and working on eclectic films.

His tireless work ethic and unquestionable talent lead to him becoming one of the most respected actors in contemporary cinema. In the latter half of his career, Depp turned to more mainstream movies aimed at young adults, working closely with Tim Burton on several projects and on Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. His success earned him a spot in the highest paid actors list with an estimated net worth of $400 million.

Over the years, Depp has been linked with countless lovers, married twice and divorced twice, once to Lori Allison and more recently to Amber Heard. Together with the French actress and singer, Vanessa Paradis, he has raised one son, John Christopher, and one daughter, Lily-Rose.
