When Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice was released last year, the controversial film found itself facing a lot of criticism. Whether the comments were directed at the convoluted story, the grim tone or that infamous "Martha" scene, it seemed like the world just loved tearing the blockbuster apart. And it looks like even DC isn't afraid to shy away from critiquing the film — something that was made abundantly clear in the latest episode of animated series, Justice League Action.

Episode 5 of the series, "It's A Trap!", saw Lex Luthor lure Superman into a trap, complete with hidden switches, Kryptonite gas and, wait for it, a wooden bat with Kryptonite rocks in it.

If this sounds familiar, it's because it's reminiscent of the iconic scene from in which the Dark Knight orchestrates the exact same plan to defeat the Man of Steel. However, in Justice League Action, Superman was not impressed at all, asking a number of logical questions. And those questions were eerily reminiscent of the ones that fans were asking about the memorable clash in the film:

"This was your plan? What if I hadn't even landed on the ground when I first got here? What if I had just picked you up and flew you into the stratosphere? How could you know I'd knock you into this floor of this specific building?"

Superman's doubts didn't stop Lex Luthor from arguing back with some Bat-logic that would have made Adam West's Batman proud. And he ended his monlogue by unveiling his ultimate weapon: the Kryptonite bat. But unfortunately, even that wasn't enough to impress Superman, who upon seeing Luthor's bat, he exclaimed:

"You made a bat? You just lodged a chunk of Kryptonite into a stick."

Harsh Supes, harsh.

This is, of course, a reference to the Kryptonite spear which Ben Affleck's Batman almost uses to defeat Superman. Many fans had issues with the fact that the mere mortal was able to defeat the super-powered alien with a "chunk of kryptonite" on a stick. And I think it's safe to say that not even Justice League Action's Superman was a fan of the iconic battle.

This isn't the first time that Batman v Superman has been mocked in other media. Since the film's release, there have been countless "Martha" memes and endless debates regarding Batman's strategy. Remember, even Deadpool took a hilarious jibe at the infamous "Martha" scene in Marvel's popular ongoing comic series Deadpool Vs. The Punisher.

Thus, Justice League Action may not be the first superhero property to mock Batman v Superman, but it's definitely the most shocking.
