The Justice League will have to face the powerful and unrelenting threat of Apokolips in their upcoming movie. But before Darkseid comes knocking, the heroes will face off against the villain's not-so-nice uncle, Steppenwolf.
Now, we finally know who's playing him. TheWrap has revealed that #GameOfThrones' Ciaran Hinds (Mance Rayder) has been cast as Steppenwolf in Justice League. The actor recently wrapped production on the film, where he completed mocap for the character.
We got our first look at the character in a deleted scene from Batman v Superman, which was later added to the Ultimate Cut. In it, Steppenwolf teaches Lex Luthor about the three Mother Boxes that will be the McGuffins of the film. Take a look:
If that doesn't look like a character that can hold his own as a believable antagonist throughout the film, don't worry, insiders say his looks will be upgraded for Justice League. Maybe we'll see a more human side of him.
