It appears that even a 19-month-old child, who is yet to learn to function properly as a human being, is also incredibly baffled by the fact that Donald Trump is about to become the President of the United States.

During her recent appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, British actress revealed that her daughter Edie had some pretty strong feelings about the President-elect. She explained the situation as such:

"She is talking a lot, she’s running, she’s literally repeating everything we say so we’re having to be really careful, and we are being really careful, but we had this really weird thing the night of the American Election."

Like many people around the world, Knightley told the audience how she and her little family stayed up to watch the results. She continued:

"Edie didn’t wake up until about eight in the morning at which point I think he [Trump] was giving his victory speech. I brought her into bed and she’s like this watching the television completely silently and totally still for about four minutes and she rolls over onto her back and she closes her eyes and she goes "F**k!"

Beaming, she then added:

"I'm very proud."

Admittedly, while there were mixed reactions regarding Trump's shock election last month, in my opinion, Keira Knightley's tiny tot has hit the nail on the head with her expletive outburst. After all, let's not forget that she's part of the unfortunate generation who will have to live with the shameful consequences of electing a bad hairpiece of a man called as their President.

Swiftly moving away from the dangerous territories of politics though, the actress also revealed that she's been training her little one to sit through a lengthy Christmas dinner in preparation for the big day. She said:

"We've actually been testing out and making Sunday roasts to see if she could sit at the table for long enough for Christmas dinner. And all that keeps happening is she looks at the brussel sprouts and she goes, 'Ball! Ball!' and she grabs them and lobs them at you. It's actually quite astonishing how much that hurts. So I'm hoping that doesn't happen on Christmas day."

Well, let's just hope Keira Knightley's hopes and dreams aren't dashed this Christmas. We don't want a repeat of what happened when the American public took to the polls last month, do we?

Do you share Keira Knightley's daughter Edie's sentiments?
