With bringing the Hulk back with a bang, it wasn't going to be long before fans began asking about a stand-alone film. And it may now be the time for this, with Marvel, and Mark Ruffalo all up to give it a go.

We should really have expected some trepidation on Marvel's part before they took on another Hulk film. After all Ruffalo's predecessors have not exactly smashed box office records. With both and 's Hulks falling flat. After such a positive stint, however, in the Avengers and a small appearance in Iron Man 3 behind him, the Hulk may this time be set up for success.

Rumours have been flying around about a stand-alone film for a while, with many believing the ‘Planet Hulk’ comics may make up the story. However Feige has revealed in an interview with EW that Planet Hulk would not form the basis for any story because

“What we're excited about exploring and expanding is Mark – and Banner's not in 'Planet Hulk' at all."

A script has yet to be agreed on and a date yet to be set however Feige has been quoted as saying

"We're excited to sit down and go, 'What is a stand-alone Hulk movie?'"

This is evidence to me that Feige and Marvel do not want to repeat the mistakes of the past and are trying to make this Hulk stand up next to the other majorly successful films in Marvel’s new universe. I personally struggle with all Hulk films, mainly I think because of how the others have been done. I think there will need to be a major reboot, with Ruffalo at the head, and maybe a few cameos for other Avengers members.

How do you feel about this and what would you like to see in a Hulk film?
