The Kardashian family is no stranger to controversy. Last month, Kim Kardashian was accused of using the Manchester bombing as a way to promote herself on social media. Now, she is embroiled in another debate over appropriateness because of a picture she shared on her social media outlets.

The star took to social media on June 14 to share a promotional picture of a "Creme Contour & Highlight Kit" as part of her new KKW Beauty Line. Kardashian was front and center in the picture, and people immediately noticed her darker skin tone:

Many Twitter Users Were Offended

People weren't happy about the photo, and numerous Twitter users accused of blackface. Here are some examples of what they had to say:

The tweet was deleted shortly after being posted. However, it was reposted that same day with seemingly no changes. So far there's no explanation behind that, so it's hard to tell whether it was a response to the backlash.

Kim Kardashian hasn't commented on the issue, and the controversial picture is still up as her profile picture, so we'll have to wait to see how the situation develops.

What do you make of this controversy? Is Kim Kardashian out of line for posting that picture? Let me know in the comments!
