When it comes to works of fiction, fans can’t help but root for the couple we think are made for each other. The one true pairing, or OTP, has become a significant factor in every fandom and there is nothing better than knowing that the romantic relationship between our favorite fictional pair has transcended from on-screen chemistry to real-life happy ever after.

Last year’s biggest phenomenon in South Korea was the melodrama action series Descendants of the Sun, starring Song Joong-Ki as the charismatic captain of South Korea’s Special Forces unit, and Song Hye-Kyo as a dedicated and strong-willed surgeon. The series garnered positive reviews, received numerous awards, and was distributed to 32 countries. Needless to say, Descendants of the Sun completely revived the declining popularity of the Hallyu wave.

The chemistry between these equally attractive and talented actors is off the charts, which is why it isn't a surprise that their characters Yoo Si-jin and Dr. Kang Mo-yeon was last year's most beloved OTP. Dating rumors had been circulating all over the internet for a while now, but nothing was ever confirmed.

As the Korean A-listers finally ended their silence, they officially revealed that they have not only been dating since 2015, but their wedding date has officially been set for October 31, 2017. Song Joong-Ki and Song Hye-Kyo will soon join South Korea’s celebrity power couples like Jang Dong-Gun and Ko So-Young, and Ji Sung and Lee Bo-Young.

Here are three more South Korean OTPs that most drama fans wish were together in real life, too.

1. Park Bo-Young And Park Hyung-Sik — Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon

Do Bong-Soon (Park Bo-Young) is a woman who possesses innate superhuman strength. She accepts a job as a bodyguard to Ahn Min-Hyuk (Park Hyung-Sik) the eccentric CEO of a gaming company who is targeted with death threats.

Here, we get a chaebol male lead that is commonplace in Korean dramas, but Park Hyung-Sik has his own refreshing take on his oddball character. Park Bo-Young is known as the "Nation’s Little Sister" and everything she does is adorable. Together, they gave us good-natured banter, as well as some really sweet romantic scenes. The two work so well together, even the show’s staff suspected they were secretly dating.

2. Kim Ji-Won And Park Seo-Joon — Fight For My Way

Two high school hotshots grow up together but ultimately end up with “third-rate lives.” The once-famous taekwondo player Ko Dong-Man (Park Seo-Joon) now works at a pest control service company. His best friend Choi Ae-Ra (Kim Ji-Won) works at a department store but dreams of becoming a news anchor.

Dong-Man and Ae-Ra define BFF goals, with their snarky exchanges and deep concern for each other. It's Park Seo-Joon and Kim Ji-Won's first project together, but their natural way of being makes it feel like they've known each other forever. They go from cute to sexy in a heartbeat and their undeniable chemistry is one of the main reasons why the drama is getting good reviews and impressive ratings. Viewers unanimously feel that they would make a great couple in real life.

3. Nam Ji-Hyun And Ji Chang-Wook — Suspicious Partner

Eun Bong-Hee (Nam Ji-Hyun) is a judicial apprentice who is given an internship with famous prosecutor Noh Ji-Wook (Ji Chang-Wook). When she arrives home one night, Bong Hee-finds her ex-boyfriend murdered in her apartment. Bong-Hee is arrested and Ji-Wook is the assigned prosecutor for the case. Ji-Wook proves Bong-Hee’s innocence at the risk of his own career.

After a string of action roles, Ji Chang-Wook finally leads his first romantic comedy series. His sexy vibes counterbalance Nam Ji-Hyun’s innocent and zest. Of course, since it’s Ji Chang-Wook, you’ve got to expect some steamy moments. One of their kissing scenes that was aired with no background music certainly gained the nation’s attention. Watching their cute behind-the-scenes videos is just as heart-fluttering as the drama itself; it makes people want to believe that they’re for real.
