Kristen Stewart just continues to unfurl and reveal more of her feisty, headstrong personality to the press. The 23-year-old actress has been making a stand for female equality in her latest interview with Stylist Magazine.

Kristen Stewart certainly doesn't dress like the 'weaker sex' with her androgynous style

The Equals star slammed those who cling to the outdated idea that women are 'the weaker sex' and implied that the overwhelmingly macho world of Hollywood blockbusters is still riddled with sexism. said;

People call women the weaker sex — it’s crazy. You have to stand up to that and be ready for things to be hard and for things to be serious

The actress then went on to explain her ideas about discrepancies between ambition in the sexes by saying that;

Female’s ambition is different to men’s. Men have a drive to make their mark on the world so people remember them

Whereas KStew feels that women

Are more fulfilled with the selfless drive to create things, but one of the main struggles is finding out what you’re good at and going for it

Kristen then went on the savage the different ways that men and womens behavior is interpreted by saying that;

It’s a total cliche — a man in a powerful position is considered assertive, whereas a woman is a ‘bitch'. Unfortunately we do need to consider how things are coming across — because people will stop listening to women much more quickly than they will a man

It makes me proud that young stars are coming out to highlight and conquer the blight of sexism on our society. Although women technically have the same rights as men in most Western societies, they are still routinely revealed to be paid less than men in the same roles (even in the movie industry!). Kristen's ideas of how the behaviour of different sexes is culturally interpreted seems on point to me.

Kristen Stewart gets furious with the press... Would a man doing the same be seen differently?

Kristen Stewart's tendency to give the press the cold shoulder or, even the middle finger, has been used against her and created an impression that she is a bitchy ice queen. is just as wary of the camera, but he is instead described as shy or as 'taking his privacy seriously' and if gave the paps a double middle finger, he would certainly be badass and not a 'bitch'!

What do you guys think?
