For those of you who have watched the Marvel Netflix Original, you probably don't know what to do about your new celebrity girl crush as you impatiently await Season 2. Luckily, the actress has had her fair share of roles that showcase her awesome self. Here's your Krysten Ritter must-watch list:
1. Don't Trust The B In Apartment 23
This ABC sitcom sadly ended after its second season, but you could watch it over and over again, always entertained. The series features Krysten Ritter as Chloe (a.k.a. the notorious b*tch in apartment 23). Chloe is a self-entitled heiress fashionista who makes her living as a con artist in New York.
One of her cons involves stealing from roommates by driving them insane with her unethical lifestyle until they move out and surrender their advance rent payment and deposit. That is, until one sweet and innocent roommate, June, manages to surpass any Chloe-related obstacles until the two eventually become friends. Definitely, a worthy show to watch, particularly since we all love watching Ritter be an upfront b*tch.
2. Breaking Bad
Although Krysten Ritter is not one of the main characters, she does have a significant role starring in 10 episodes of Season 2. The AMC show is addictive in itself, but it only gets worse when her character appears. Ritter plays Jane Margolis, Jesse Pinkman's new tenant/love interest who struggles with drug addiction.
3. She's Out Of My League
This rom-com only gets better with every scene that Krysten Ritter appears in. A hysterical movie about a guy named Kirk, who starts dating Molly, a woman completely out of his league. Krysten's character, Patty, is Molly's cynical best friend, who gets a front-row seat to Kirk's lack of game.
4. Confessions Of A Shopaholic
This 2009 rom-com — the true romance being with shopping — features Isla Fisher, a recent college grad who goes overboard on her spending due to her shopping addiction. She attempts to pay her debt by entering the fierce career world of New York City with the help of her realistic BFF Suze, played by Krysten Ritter. You're promised a good laugh with this movie.
5. Big Eyes
Because Krysten Ritter plays the perfect advising BFF, she was cast as such in Big Eyes, a Tim Burton drama. The movie is based on a real-life story of acclaimed 1950's painter Margaret Keane (Amy Adams) and the difficulties she faces in her marriage. Her abusive husband claims her paintings as his own, forcing him to live fearfully in his shadow. Ritter's character, DeeAnn, bears witness to Margaret's struggles and does her best to support her closest friend without knowing the truth.
6. Gilmore Girls
With the Gilmore Girls revival in the making, there couldn't be a better time to catch up on the The CW original TV series. Krysten Ritter's character, Lucy, appeared in eight episodes of Season 7, the show's final season. The drama revolves around a mother-daughter relationship between the single young mom Lorelai Gilmore and her mature daughter Rory Gilmore in the town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut.
Lucy and her other friend Olivia, help Rory blow off steam at Yale, but things get awkward when Lucy's boyfriend turns out to be Marty, who lies about knowing Rory and harboring secret feelings for her.
7. L!fe Happens
If you really want to admire Krysten Ritter's work, this is the indie-comedy to see. Not only did the actress star in it, but she also co-wrote and co-produced it. The plot is centered on Kim (Krysten Ritter) and Deena (Kate Bosworth), two BFFs who struggle to keep their lives afloat once Kim gets pregnant and has a baby.
This black comedy-drama TV series features Krysten Ritter throughout the entire season as Lily Champagne, a timid 27-year-old who defines her life's work as "I sell makeup at a department store, I change lives."
The Starz show follows a group of eccentric individuals who have one major thing in common: They are members of an out-patient program for suicide survivors.
This horror-themed romantic comedy follows the stories of two female vampires who are trying to make a somewhat-normal lives for themselves in New York City. Brought to you by the director of Clueless, these dead, lifelong friends struggle with common vamp issues, along with attempting to get love lives.
In this romantic drama, Krysten Ritter plays the protagonist Amy, who has to take care of her siblings after her parents abandon them in their tiny home town. Things get interesting when Sam, this new guy in town, peaks her interest. We watch them fall in love despite the struggles that come along with her mother-like responsibilities.
