It was just a few months ago that , one of the stars of The Fast & The Furious franchise, passed away in an automobile accident. For good reason, it has dominated all conversation about the future of that film series. This is so true actually that I had completely forgotten that , one of my favorite actors, had been added to the cast list for Furious 7.

During an interview with The Associated Press conducted during Sundance, Russell opened up on his feelings about Walker's passing...

"They're having to rewrite, they're having to do whatever they're having to do to deal with the situation. Listen, it's catastrophic. It's the worst thing that could happen to a movie, but it's not as bad as what happened to Paul. So everything is in perspective. He was a terrific guy. And life is full of curveballs."

Russell has the right perspective here. Of course the filmmakers are in a bind with losing one of their headlining stars, but the loss of human life is far worse. I will look forward to seeing Russell in the next Fast & Furious, but it will be exceedingly odd to press on without Walker.

What do you guys think?
